I strive to create a safe place for you to come and share your story with me. There are no expectations of where you should be or how to get there. Each client is unique; therefore I do not employ a one-treatment-fits-all approach. I will be genuine and respectful, providing additional insight from my perspective. Sitting down with a person you do not know can be intimidating, so we will work together on establishing mutual trust. I want to help you rediscover confidence and provide you with hope for the future.
I understand the journey will not be easy, but you will not be alone in the process. I will meet you right where you are! We will walk the path toward recovery together, as I bear witness to your story and help you traverse through the daily challenges that life brings. Together, we will uncover your resilience and strength, creating a polished lens through which to view your life differently. It IS possible to love yourself wholeheartedly and to embrace all of who you are.
I offer therapy for eating disorders, disordered eating, body image struggles, improving self-esteem and creating an overall more positive self-concept. While these are my main areas of focus, we also work on underlying factors such as traumas, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, etc.
In addition to facilitating support groups at the Eating Disorder Foundation on Saturdays, I also facilitate groups for the WINGS Foundation, which supports adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and incest. I am in private practice out of Lakewood, CO. Please visit my website for more details: newdirectionswitherica.com
