Colorado’s largest day of giving takes place on Tuesday, December 10th. On this day, thousands of people come together to support Colorado nonprofits like ours.
Have you been looking for a chance to volunteer? You can help us raise funds by creating your very own fundraising page! By creating a personalized fundraising page, you can enlist all of the people you’re connected with to support our cause. We’re getting together on November 9th at 9am to hang out and make our fundraising pages together!
Can’t make it? We’d love it if you made a fundraising page anyway. Just make sure to submit your page by December 5th.

Does your child – young or adult – struggle with an eating disorder?
Inspired by Emotion-Focused Family Therapy – and with a healthy dose of humor – this evidence-based workshop will introduce practical skills to strengthen relationships, increase cooperation and respond to strong emotional reactions, including expressions of worry, anger, hopelessness, even silence. Caregivers will also be supported to identify and work through co-parenting challenges most often encountered along the way.
Registration is full! Please call 303-322-3373 or e-mail info@eatingdisorderfoundation.org to be added to the waitlist.
*This workshop is for parents and caregivers only.
*You MUST be able to participate on both days in order to attend.
This $400 value workshop is offered to members of the community for free thanks to EDF’s generous donors and a grant from the National Eating Disorders Association.

Jamie Magdic, RD, LDN, is the founder of Side By Side Nutrition, a group of fiercely passionate HAES, weight-inclusive, registered dietitians, in Arvada, Colorado. Jamie is passionate about providing accessible, expert, quality care to help people fully recover from disordered eating and to learn body trust and acceptance.
Specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image for adults and adolescents, Jamie envisions an inclusive, safe space where people struggling with food and body can permit themselves to open their life to more. By guiding them through their thoughts without judgment and encouraging them to find freedom and flexibility, Jamie helps clients stay open to the possibilities they deserve. She believes in a weight-inclusive approach that focuses on behaviors, not weight or numbers, as the key to lasting health. She helps her clients dismantle the food and body shame, identify triggers leading to self-doubt and relearn how to have a trusting relationship with food and body. |
“We’re here to help clients discover their value & worth beyond food, body, and the scale, so they can find health and wellness from a place of intuition versus external validation. By uncovering the food fears and body obsession that hold people back, our clients learn to find strength from their vulnerabilities and change their perspective of “fear & shame” to love and acceptance.”

“Come As You Are”
as part of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, February 24 – March 1, 2020
We encourage our community to embrace this year’s National Eating Disorders Awareness Week theme, “Come as You Are: Hindsight is 20/20,” by reflecting on the positive steps they’ve taken — including those stemming from setbacks or challenges — toward accepting themselves and others.
EDF and other local organizations are hosting a few events during NEDAWeek. Check them out!
