Join us to learn practical tips and skills for caregivers.
Dads have often been left out of the eating disorder recovery narrative, and Equip’s Director of Mentorship Kevin Dunn hopes to change that by motivating and educating men on becoming more supportive and effective as caregivers. In honor of Fathers Day, join Kevin for a special workshop to learn practical tips and tools for dads (and all caregivers) navigating recovery with their loved one.
Kevin Dunn is a dad who has been the primary caregiver for his daughter since her anorexia nervosa diagnosis five years ago—and her subsequent ARFID dual diagnosis. He maintains the view that eating disorder challenges present extraordinary opportunities for growth and learning. Certainly, they are unwelcome visitors on our family journeys, but, for Kevin, the “disorder” they bring opens broad pathways to “re-ordering” every aspect of family life for the better. His goal is to use his experience guiding his own daughter to support others on their paths.
Kevin is the Director of Family Mentorship at Equip and leader of their Men’s Group, and also co-founded the F.E.A.S.T. Men’s Group, with the goal of activating, educating, and motivating men to be more supportive and effective caregivers.
