Westfax Chili Cook Off and Fundraiser
Feb 23 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Help raise awareness, all while enjoying some great chili from your local community. Westfax Brewing will be hosting a Chili Cook Off to raise awareness for “National Eating Disorder Month”. $12 gets you to participate in the chili tasting (tasting up to 10 different chilis), your first beer, and the ability to vote for your favorite chili for a chance for them to win “Peoples Choice”.

$6 from every ticket sold will be donated directly to “The Eating Disorder Foundation”.

Starting at 1PM ticket sales will begin as well as the Chili Tasting and will run until 4 or until the chili is gone. At 3:30PM we will announce the winner of the Chili Cook Off so make sure you vote for your favorite Chili by 3PM!

Serving sizes will be served in 2 oz servings totaling up to at least 20 oz of chili for you to consume plus your first beer included!

We are still looking for Chili Cook Off Participants and will only be taking a very limited number. If you are interested in joining as a cook please email justin@westfaxbrewingcompany.com with your inquiry or simply stop by the taproom and see your bartender for details. All cooks must pay a $5 reservation fee, but it will get you your first beer, happy hour pricing the day of event, ability to participate in the tasting, and the opportunity to win “Peoples Choice” where you’ll receive a gift card and merch to Westfax Brewing.

“Come As You Are”

as part of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, February 24 – March 1, 2020

We encourage our community to embrace this year’s National Eating Disorders Awareness Week theme, “Come as You Are: Hindsight is 20/20,” by reflecting on the positive steps they’ve taken — including those stemming from setbacks or challenges — toward accepting themselves and others.

EDF and other local organizations are hosting a few events during NEDAWeek. Check them out!

#GivingTuesdayNow
May 5 all-day
#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
#COGives provides a safe and secure way to support Colorado nonprofits in one easy transaction.
#GivingTuesdayNow is an opportunity for people around Colorado and the world to stand together in unity–to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and heal.
People can show their generosity in a variety of ways during #GivingTuesdayNow–whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes, every act of generosity counts.
At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.
#GivingTuesdayNow emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing.
We all have gifts to give, and with social media, online giving, delivery, mail, and phones, there are limitless ways to use your generosity to support others.
