This presentation sets off by grounding the audience on a singular definition of mental health using definitions and examples. That sets the context for the affects of loneliness, isolation, vulnerability, and healing. We will jump on a slight tangent to breakdown the effect of digital adversaries on mental health as they are so prevalent in society today. Finally, there is a section on Dos, Don’ts and FAQs to set audience members up for immediate ways they can be mental health stewards in their communities, and to help kick start questions and conversation on the presentation.

Brought to you in collaboration with Jinhyun Shin
Jinhyun has a passion for suicide prevention, focusing especially on its prevention through loneliness. As an ethnographer, he has spent much of his time reflecting with people on the tension in between the circumstances of their challenges and the conditions of their hearts. Along his journey, he developed language to make mental health tangible, actionable, and communal. He has since worked with professional athletes, Fortune 500 companies, veterans, and recovering addicts to provide actionable definitions and frameworks around mental health.
