Abstract:
All eating disorders can be associated with serious medical complications affecting every organ system in the body. While the burgeoning availability of weight loss pharmaceuticals has caused great promise for the management of chronic conditions, those with eating disorders who take these medications are at an increased risk for compounded medical sequelae. Chief Health Officer at Within Health | Chrissy Stockert, RN
Coming to you from sunny and warm Miami Florida! Chrissy’s journey in healthcare started after a career as a teacher, and she still loves to bring education into the work she does every day. After becoming a nurse in 2010, and working in various specialities, she found her passion, and has dedicated the past 12 years to specializing in the field of eating disorders. She feels honored every day to work in this field and with this population. Guiding individuals towards recovery is both her mission and privilege.
Beyond her professional endeavors, she is a proud mother of two wonderful children. She loves to go to their school plays and cheer at their soccer games!
